It is now something of a “cult classic” among the kindred following of interested listeners. Spanning just over 85 minutes, Deathconsciousness combines elements of post-punk, shoegaze, industrial, ambient, and even drone to create a fully immersive atmosphere. Well, now you can dodge all those flippers and grab yourself a copy… now on colored vinyl variants for the first time ever!įounded in Connecticut back in 2000 by members Dan Barrett and Tim Macuga, Have A Nice Life took a while to fully realize their debut release. Since 2009, it’s not been available on vinyl unless you were willing to shell out $100+ on secondary markets. By 2009, people were demanding a second pressing and they got just that. And sometimes, years down the road maybe, a record seems to grab a strong hold and become something far more potent than the artists may have ever expected. This is the story for a lot of musicians, bands, and music altogether. It seemed as though most people, well, just didn’t care.

There’s certainly a lot to be said about Have A Nice Life’s debut release, Deathconsciousness. Originally released in 2008, this record was unveiled to little interest nor critical acclaim. You can still purchase the Standard Weight Black vinyl though!īE ADVISED: This is a record that requires a thorough listening experience. What you hear in the first 10 minutes is completely different than what you’ll hear throughout as it all builds and meanders to complete itself. UPDATE: The White ( /300), Green ( /400) & 180g Black ( /500) variants are now SOLD OUT.
